After Punta Del Este, we ferried back to Buenos Aires. We caught a taxi from the port but realized we didn't know the address of the hotel and the driver didn't know where it was either. So after a brief tour of the surrounding area in Spanish only (he didn't speak a word of English) and a phone call we arrived at Miravida Hotel in Palermo. This was a brilliant little 6 bedroom hotel and wine bar. We went for a stroll around Palermo which is the fashion hot spot of BA. We stopped for a cold beer in the sun at a trendy cafe/bar, perfectly situated for good people watching. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and check out the wine list. I had the best entrée of all time and the mains were also delicious. The wine was excellent, as expected and we splashed out on a couple of pricier drops .. salud!
So that's it for BA, next we head to Iguazu Falls on the borders of Argentina, Brazil & Portugal.
